You will find yourself in the middle of Philipsburg where all the action is, with the main shopping street on one side and the beach on the other side of the hotel. There are a lot of things to see and do, all within walking distance. It’s just great to be here!

We're a full-service deluxe hotel with an official 3 star rating. However you will find that our service, ambiance, location and eye for detail are more comparable with a 4 star hotel. The Hotel is individually owned and operated.

We can provide in-room massages and aroma therapy treatments upon request. There are many spas on the island and we'll be happy to make recommendations and reservations for you.

We accept USD, Euros and Antillean Guilders. While the latter is the official currency of the Island, everyone uses American Dollars. You can settle your charges in cash or with major credit cards and there are more than enough ATMs on the Island.

The Holland House welcomes everyone regardless of country, religion or lifestyle. You will find a mix of all sorts of guests and that’s part of what makes the ambiance enchanting and entertaining. Most clientele is 35+, from North America and Europe.

All of our rooms are based on double occupancy. We can however on request accommodate a triple occupancy. We have 2x2 connecting rooms for families with children. Next to that we can accommodate a family of two adults and two children in the Junior Suites. We have cribs available upon request.

Even though we are located on the beach we prefer to have no bare chests in the lobby and bar or swimwear in the restaurant. Other than that, whatever makes you comfortable will do. We call it "Island Casual".

Once you arrive at the Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) just go outside to the taxi dispatch and tell them you would like to go to Holland House - everyone will know! Depending on the traffic it will take you about 20 minutes and $20 for two people. We can also arrange a VIP pick up. Someone will be standing at the arrival hall and will hold a card with your name. The charge, for this, is $40, one way. Check in time is from 15h00. In case you arrive earlier, we can store your luggage at the hotel.

You will be able to get a free WiFi pass for each device you carry at the Front Desk free of charge. We have a speed of about 2 MB and the WiFi signal is available in your room as well. It is also possible to access your VPN if needed. We have a computer in the lobby, with internet access and a printer – to print your boarding passes.

We can arrange rental cars through the front desk. We normally advise people to come to the hotel and make arrangements here. We do not recommend that you hire a car at the airport and drive it downtown.

At the moment we have access to a parking lot, with limited spaces available. It’s very close to the hotel and we charge a nominal fee of $15 per car per day. You cannot reserve a parking spot in advance. When you are at the hotel please inquire at the Front Desk if spaces are still available. Check also our free parking map.

During the day in the high season (Dec – April) the streets are bustling with people and Philipsburg is very energetic. At night the town is very quiet and relaxed. Still there are many restaurants to choose from and if you like more entertainment, a taxi to Grand Case or the Maho area is a short ride.

There is no import duty on tobacco and liquor, there is no sales tax and no VAT. All sales include a 5% turnover tax, but you will not see this on your bill. You will find that electronics and jewelry are a lot less expensive and good deals can be made. Depending on how you spend, your savings can be more than the cost of your vacation.
