Holland House operates according to a government approved Covid-19 prevention and contingency plan.
Here is a step by step guide to travel to St. Maarten.

— 1. Make a reservation at Holland House!
— 2. Make your airline reservation.
— 3. Schedule a rt-PCR Covid-19 or rapid antigen test in your country and go to stmaartenehas.com to get familiar with the guidelines and to apply for a pre-entry authorization (it’s fairly straightforward). You will receive a pre-authorization to travel via email. Please bring along hard copy prints of both this authorization email and your negative test result. The rt-PCR test may not be older than 120 hours and the rapid antigen test must be taken no later than 48 hours before your flight.
— 4. You will be asked to pay $30 per person for an island issued Covid -19 insurance (the Sint Maarten Visitors Protection Plan). This is valid for 180 days and has a coverage of max $50.000. In addition, it covers medical evacuation up to $ 20.000, - For more details, visit sxmprotectionplan.com.
— 5. When landing on St. Maarten, you will be asked to show the negative Covid-19 test result and the pre-authorization approval for entry. Your health declaration will be stamped for approval.
— 6. You will proceed to immigration and collect your luggage.
— 7. Once outside of the airport, proceed to the government taxi dispatch and get a taxi ($ 25) to Front street 45 Holland House Beach Hotel where we await your arrival!
— 1. Upon arrival we will ask you to see your stamped and approved health declaration. An ID is required. When checked in, it’s time to relax at the bar, lounge or restaurant. You can wear facial protection at your own discretion. Please note that we strongly encourage keeping a 2-meter (6 feet) social distance. The hotel is continuously wiped down with disinfectants and sanitizing stations are available.
— 2. Relax, have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, lay on the beach, take a swim, go for a shopping stroll, its wonderful and relaxing here on St. Maarten! Our staff will take excellent care of you.
— 1. Please verify if you are required to present a negative rt-PCR test for your return flight (USA and EU travelers).
— 2. Our front desk (reservations@hollandhousehotel.com) will assist you with getting a test done 2 days prior to your departure. You will need to visit the healthcare clinic which is just a 1-minute walk from the hotel and they will assist you with the test and make sure you have the results within 24 hours in your email. The hotel can assist with printed versions for you.
— 3. The cost of a rt-PCR test is $125 per person.
— 4. When tested negative, you are all set to go and return.
In the unlikely event you test positive, your insurance will kick in and your additional days of stay with us will be covered. You will be isolated but still taken care of. Once isolation is completed, you will receive a certificate of health and recovery of Covid-19 by the Medial Health Center and will be able to travel again. When you have passed ten days after your first symptoms or your testing date and are symptom free, you will be able to travel again.
